Those who have joined Dark Orbit just recently, they will notice that they will get a Phoenix ship by default. Now once you got this ship, you should first complete some of the quests provided by DO to upgrade your ship to the next ship. You will earn some uridium once you complete those quest, then the next step would be to start collecting bonus boxes (golden colored boxes in the map) which gives you uridium and credits. Now start collecting those credits so that you can buy the speed generators which you can find under Hanger->Shop->Generators and buy some G3N-3310 generators, which will help you increase the speed of your ship so that you can collect more bonus boxes in little time, but you should keep in mind, you should not spend uridium at this moment, instead collect uridium upto 9000 so that you can get one of the best ship called Leonov for newbies. This ship has great advantages to the newbees, it has got 160000 HP in X-1 to X-4 maps, and its damage and sheild power is also double in these maps which will help you kill alliens and earn more credits and experience. Getting leonov can be acheived in 2-3 days if you simply concentrate on collecting boxes and saving the uridium. Once you get the leonov, your struggle as a newbee ends.
The next part that you have to concentrate as a newbee now is skylab. You need to upgrade Prometium, Endurium, Terbium, Solar Module and Basic Module at first and keep upgrading until it reaches lvl3, then upgrade Prometid, Duranium, and xeno module until it reaches lvl2, then start with promerium. If you follow these steps you wont find any kind of difficulty arising in production of resources or else there would be disruptions which you will understand later as you become experienced with this game. Now once you have enough stores of these resources in your skylab store, then you can transport these resources to your ship using transport module, the max amount you can send depends on your cargo space available in your ship. Sending promerium and selling those resources at base gives you the highest credits in comparison to others. Thus for credits you should concentrate more on skylab, upgrade those refineries constantly, and keep sending and selling those resources, which in turn give you more and more credits which can be used to bid items in Trade section and can attain most of basic equipments for the ship at very cheap cost.
